چکیده
This work focuses on removing hexachlorocyclohexanes (HCHs) found in groundwater polluted with dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPLs) by photo-oxidation hydrogen peroxide or persulfate using LED visible light and ferrioxalate as the catalyst. Single oxidation tests were also performed to evaluate contribution of LED-vis HCHs removal. Results show that it is possible attain degradation up 85% 420 min persulfate, whereas percentages lower than 40% are obtained when peroxide. Using both oxidants presence promotes generation hydroxyl sulfate radicals under circumneutral pH values, which main responsible species for Specifically, an oxidant conversion higher 50% was achieved during photochemical treatment oxidants, conversions below 20% absence irradiation. On other hand, DNAPL produced liquid residuum lindane production contains chlorinated organic compounds (COCs), susceptible being oxidized radicals, generating competitive reactions. The final chlorbenzenes reaches values close 100% only effectively removed used oxidant. better performance indicates should be carried out ensure removal more dangerous COCs. confirms excellent ability C-Cl bond breakdown. • Persulfate leads efficiencies Different mechanisms radicals. Other COCs eliminated light. attack favours dechlorination.

Platinized rutile TiO2 samples containing varying concentrations of Pt were synthesized using Kemira (KE, BET surface area 50 m2/g, from Finland), and Toto HT0270 (HT, BET surface area 2.9 m2/g, from Japan) as the starting materials by solution mixing followed by sintering the precursors. Photocatalytic activities were established for phenol oxidation under visible light (wavelength >400 nm). O...
متن کاملVisible Light Promoted Allylic C–H Oxidation
A mild and efficient one-pot visible light-induced method has been developed for the allylic oxidation. The oxidation of allylic systems has played a prominent role in this context as possibly the most widely applied C–H functionalization, owing to the utility of enones. The allylic C–H oxidation is relatively simple and predictable, even on a preparative scale, because active species generated...
متن کاملLED Modulation Characteristics in a Visible-Light Communication System
This paper conducts a research on modulation characteristics of blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs) used in a visible-light communication (VLC) system. Through analysis of the modulation characteristics of LEDs with different emitting sizes, we find that there is a similar linear relationship between LED’s 3dB bandwidth and the operation current density. This experiment also shows that high serie...
متن کاملImplementation of Downlink Visible Light Communication using LED and Photodiode
In this paper we present the initial design, implementation and result of a small-scale prototype of Visible Light Communication using simple LED and a photodiode. Data is transmitted through visible light by sending data in a binary format as on and off that varies in frequency faster than the human eye can follow. The data to be transmitted is encoded and sent. The data is decoded back at the...

In this demonstration, we first demonstrate a real-time phosphor-LED visible light communication (VLC) system with 37 Mbit/s total throughput under a 1.5 m free space transmission length. The transmitter and receiver modules are compact size. Utilizing our proposed pre-equalization technology, the ~1 MHz bandwidth of phosphor LED could be extended to ~12 MHz without using blue filter. Thus, the...
